Although this information is about a Dutch [mainly] situation, I don't speak or write that language. My experience with houseboats is long though. I've bought, sold, and renovated many. So read on.

This is written mainly for and about steel barges in fresh water, ie,
houseboats in Amsterdam; but you will likely find some things
